Dirk Sinerius PhD

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Dirk Sinerius joined Tec-Sem in March 2017. The Board of Director has appointed Dirk as new CEO effective as of July 1st, 2017. He studied Material sciences at the Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg/Breisgau (Germany) and is holding a PhD in the field of Semiconductors. He has got a very extensive professional experience in the semiconductor industry. Dirk has held leading positions in Sales in companies like JDS Uniphase, Nortel Networks, ABB Semiconductors and Ericsson Microelectronics, as well as in the solar industry with Oerlikon Solar.

Prior to joining Tec-Sem, Dirk has been working in the Solar industry at Meyer-Burger and was Chief Operation Officer (COO) at Hevel Solar.

Fachri Atamny PhD

Chief Technology Officer

Fachri received his Master and PhD in surface science physics from the J-W-Goethe University, in Frankfurt/M. He worked several years as research scientist at the Max Planck Institute in Berlin as well as at the ETH in Zurich. His scientific and teaching activities during these years included nanotechnology, carbon modifications, catalysis, surface science, physical and chemical vapor deposition. In 2000 he joined OC Oerlikon (previous Unaxis Balzers) as process physics and after several promotions he became responsible in 2002 as General R&D manager and CTO for the R&D activities worldwide. His responsibilities also included Business Development and Intellectual Property and he was a member of the Technology Board as well as International Management Team of OC Oerlikon. He left the company in 2009 after accepting a position as Vice General Manager and CTO at the Chinese owned Sevenstar Group in Beijing. During the following seven years he built a R&D research center and established a Photovoltaic Business Unit in the greater Beijing area. Returning to Switzerland end of 2016 he joined Tec-Sem at the beginning of 2017 as CTO.

Olaf Faller

Chief Operation Officer

Olaf Faller joined Tec-Sem AG as Chief Operating Officer in 2010. After completing his studies as mechanical engineer specializing in automation, he started his career in the semiconductor industry as head of supply business at the company HM Reinraum-Technik GmbH (D), a wet bench manufacturer. Due to rapid growth, he took over the management and the organisation of the production planning & controlling department. In the wake of the merger with the SEZ AG he was appointed head of service and after sales support and was responsible for global service support and the integration of the service department into SEZ AG. After this he was appointed head of materials management in the newly founded AP&S International GmbH in Germany.

Iris Kaderli

Chief Financial Officer

Iris Kaderli joined Tec-Sem in 2008 as Head of Finance. In June 2016 she was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Iris Kaderli holds a Professional Bachelor in Business Administration from HFW Schaffhausen. Prior to Tec-Sem she was Head of Finance and Controlling of Alphasem GmbH, a leading Die Bonder company. Iris Kaderli has over 15 years of experience in the Semiconductor industry.

Thomas Egolf PhD

Chairman

Thomas is the founder of TAT Capital Partners Ltd. an international Venture Capital firm specialized in micro-technology and medical devices. Former activities include CEO Positions at Zevatech Inc. (back-end semiconductor equipment), Applied Sensor AB (Gas Sensors), Elmarco s.r.o. (nanofiber and semiconductor equipment), BoD Member of SEZ AG (semiconductor equipment), Xemics SA (Mixed Signal IC's) and Colibrys SA (MEMS Fab). He currently serves on the Board of Espros Photonic AG (optical sensors) and is Chairman of Nextek Inc (EMS provider). Mr. Egolf received a Ph.D. in chemistry and a MBA from the University of Zurich.

Christian Grandjean PhD

Board Member

Christian Grandjean is Managing Director of CMG Capital GmbH, Engelberg (CH) a consulting and investment firm. Following his studies at the Credit Suisse International Banking School in New York, Christian began his professional career at First Boston Corporation in USA and lateron served at UBS in Switzerland in various positions He cntiuned his career at Banque Cantonal Vaudoise (CH) as Managing Director and moved to the industry as CFO and COO of Christ Schmuck und Uhren AG (CH). He currently serves on the Board of a variety of companies through out the world.

Jakob Blattner

Board Member

Jakob is the original founder of Tec-Sem. He received his degree in mechanical engineering at the Technical College of Schaffhausen, followed by studies in business administration at University St. Gallen. In 1981 he founded his own engineering company for automation systems for back-end semiconductor appplications and lateron focused on cleanroom applications in the front-end of semiconductor manufacturing. In 1988 he founded Tec-Sem AG by integrating his engineering company into the new corporation. During the past 30 years he held various key positions within top management and for many years he served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Tec-Sem.

Andreas Dill

Board member

Andreas Dill holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the ETH in Zurich. After conducting post graduate research at McGill University in Montreal he started his career in the semiconductor industry at Zevatech AG where he took on various responsibilities from R+D engineer to General Manager. He worked for many years in various management positions at OC Oerlikon last as CEO of the Advanced Technologies Segment and a member of the Oerlikon executive committee. He is also a board member of Cicor Technologies a public Microsystems and EMS provider and serves as an advisor to Evatec.
